Rice with carrot



 Ingredients
  •     1 onion, cut  it  into small pieces 
  •     3 carrots grated on grater
  •     500gr rice for risotto
  •     1 tomato, cut it into pieces (optional)
  •     1200 ml vegetable broth or beef broth
  •     200 ml olive oil
  •     salt and pepper
  •     and a little chopped parsley (optional).

Let's start ...
1. Prepare the broth. Add 1 cube of broth into a boiled water and stir it until it dissolve.
2. In a saucepan pour the olive oil on medium heat, and sauté the onion.
3. Once you have sauté, pour the carrots. Mix them  with a wooden spoon. Add the tomato and mix it again for a while.
4. Add the rice and mix it for 1-2 minutes.
5. Pour the broth, salt, pepper and stir. Cover the saucepan for 15 minutes. 5 minutes before the end, check the rice. If there is left broth add the parsley and leave it for 5 minutes. If not, add a little more boiling water and let it until the rice is ready.
Depending on the rice, it is usually ready in 15-20 minutes.
Serve it hot in a shallow dish.
Tip : You can add a glass of white wine just before you add the rice. Let it evaporate and follow the procedure.

Chicken in the oven with potatoes, orange and lemon

  Try one of the best homemade recipe 

Ingredients for 6 people
  • 1 whole chicken (you can also use portions of chicken)
  • 5-6 potatoes peeled and cut quartered
  •  1 t.sp mustard
  • juice of one lemon
  • juice of one orange
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • salt, pepper, oregano
  • 1 tb.sp spreadable butter
  • olive oil (about 50-80ml)
  • 1 glass of water  (from the tap)
 



Let's start cooking ...
 

 1. Preheat The oven to 200 degrees
2. Place the potatoes in the bottom of the dutch oven
3. Clean the chicken well and put it over potatoes
4. Cut the garlic cloves and after we engrave the thighs and wings chicken put a little bit of garlic and chicken in
5. In a bowl or in a deep saucer mix the lemon,the orange, the mustard 6. Pour the mixture over the chicken and the potatoes.
7. Brush the chicken with the butter and add the olive oil.
8. Add a salt, pepper and oregano and (with the help of our hands) mix it to go everywhere and add the water,
9. Cover the dutch oven and bake at 200 degrees for 1 and 1/2 hour,
10. Then turn over the chicken , open the lid of the dutch oven turn down to 180 degrees and leave for about 15 minutes to get color chicken
11. Turn it again for 15 minutes.
You can enjoy your meal with a glass of white wine.

Greek cheese (feta) sauce for pasta


It is a great sauce for pasta and not only. 

Materials ...
  • 250 fresh milk
  • 150 crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 tb.sp flour 
  • 1 tb.sp butter
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 1/2 t.sp paprika (optional)
  • salt 
  • pepper
Let's start...
 1. In a saucepan add butter and melt it over a low heat.
2. Then add  milk and mix it lightly.
3. Add the flour, stirring constantly to prevent clotting.
4. Once you have mixed the ingredients and the cheese. We do not stop to stir.
5. Add the nutmeg, paprika (you can add as much as you want depending on your preferences), salt and pepper. 
6. Once "tie" the materials the sauce is ready.
Serve immediately 
It' goes better with penne or fusilli.

Tip : You can put the cooked pasta in a buttered ovenproof dish, pour over the the sauce, bake it in the oven at 180 degrees until it gets a golden brown colour on top.
